Terms of service

The service

YouGather is operated by a small business registered in Peru, contact hello@yougather.app. It lets you create private groups, post to them, and look back at what was shared.

There is a free version. Paid extras may be offered later; what they cost and include will be stated before you pay. We will never show ads or sell your data, in the free version or any other.

Your account

You need to be at least 13 years old, or older where your local law requires it. Keep your sign-in method safe; what happens from your account is your responsibility. One account per person.

Your content

What you post stays yours. You give us only the permission we need to store it, show it to the people you chose, and make it available for export. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies in backups, which are overwritten within 30 days.

You are responsible for what you post. Only post photos and videos of other people when they are fine with it, especially children.

Rules

Do not use YouGather for anything illegal, to harass or threaten anyone, to spread spam, or to share someone's private information without their consent. Do not try to break into accounts or disrupt the service.

Group admins can remove members and posts from their groups. We may remove content or close accounts that break these rules, and we tell you why unless the law prevents it.

Groups and admins

Whoever creates a group is its first admin and can add other admins. Admins decide who is in the group. Leaving a group removes your access to it; your posts in it stay unless you delete them.

Ending things

You can delete your account at any time from your settings. We can end the service, or your access to it, with reasonable notice by email. Either way, you can export your content first.

What we promise, and what we don't

We work to keep YouGather available and your content safe, with backups. But it is provided as it is, and we cannot promise it will never be down or lose data. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to what you paid us in the past twelve months. Nothing here limits the rights you have as a consumer in your country.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of Peru, and disputes go to the courts of Lima, except that if you are a consumer in the EU you keep the protection of your own country's law and courts.

Changes

If these terms change in a way that matters, we tell you by email at least 14 days before it takes effect. If you keep using YouGather after that, the new terms apply.
